The Domkirkeodden museum by Beek Arkitekter
Feel that cork

The Domkirkeodden museum invited architects to design new building for exhibitions. We prepared pre-selected images for competition entry, and in addition we created sketches that resonated the most within our project team.

We wanted to give a peek at the beautiful surroundings. Breeze from the lake and forest scents in the air meet with a cork facade and create a welcoming atmosphere. Inside, we portrayed the subtle multipurpose interior so that all the attention goes to the artifacts presented. Even though Beek Arkitekter did not win the competition, we enjoyed working on such a subtle museum.
