Nova Zbrojovka neighbourhood in Brno

Swords to Plowshares

A former industrial area that used to belong to Zbrojovka Brno, a famous Czech arms manufacturer, is now getting a second life as a vibrant part of the city of Brno. 

Nova Zbrojovka is a new neighboorhood complete with residential and commercial buildings as well as new public spaces to bring the community together.

A few parts of the former brownfield remain to preserve some of the history and legacy of the site. 

The project was a challenging one: due to the scale of the project and a tight deadline of just 2 months, every monolot artist has worked on this project at some point. 

The work on the new phases still continues, but for now, we are proud to share the outcome of the first phase.
