A winning school gym proposal by AXXI

This project is a winning proposal for a gym to compliment an existing primary school in Valasske Mezirici, Czech Republic.

Red color connecting the building with the surrounding space gave us ample opportunity to work with light and contrast.

The place is meant to be more than a mere sports hall, but a focal point for a local community, where people come together for events and gatherings. This, we have communicated through atmospheres and staffage — the images show the space filled with frolicking kids during the day, and occupied by dancers during the night.
