Dornych

The Dornych project was one of the the most extensive we have ever worked on. Dornych has always been a place for shopping and now, in the hands of developer Crestyl, it will get a whole new future. A completely new retail complex project required retail visualisations and for us this meant stepping out of our comfort zone and looking at the task differently.

Dornych is a huge project, designed and planned with care by all involved parties, and we could not count the number of updates needed. However, the final visualisation and video clearly show that when you have a common goal, you can achieve something great.

The CG video takes viewers from an early morning takeaway coffee, through a busy lunchtime, to an evening out shopping with friends and family. We wanted to show the life, energy and purpose of the place. To show the maximum in the minimum of footage, we chose five time-lapse shots. These are very effective: they are dynamic and tell the story, and as CG artists we can pay more attention to other details than making 3D people behave 100% realistically.
