Team chooses: 4 favorite projects

We asked four team members to choose their favorite monolot project from the past year and a half. They decided with their hearts and creative minds. Have a look at what Arina, Peter, Daria, and Alberto picked!

Interiors of OAKS PRAGUE villa

Arina Semko

CG artist

The interior visualizations of OAKS Prague villa are one of my favorite projects of the past year. I thoroughly enjoy the luxury of this interior design – Formafatal studio created a harmonic space filled with colors, textures, and materials. When we first saw the mood boards, we were surprised by the color combination – it’s not just another beige luxury interior. Formafatal carefully prepared all the sources, mood boards, and floor plans, and they have been exacting about various details. Thanks to that, we could focus on the most minor things. As a CG artist, I can spend more time on materials and textures when the furniture is selected and placed. In exterior visualization, you primarily work with paving, concrete, and sometimes wood. But in interiors, you have leather, textile, fur… and all have to work together! This is precisely what I enjoy the most.

Spyker C8 Preliator

Peter Horváth

CG artist

The visuals of Spyker C8 Preliator felt like a breeze of fresh wind. It was something different than our usual archviz projects. Different scale, a different approach. With cars, you can put way more action into the visuals. Motion, tension, curves. I love how David and Patrik took the photos and merged them with the 3D model. The colors function so well, and the atmosphere is incredible. I admire how well-lit the scenes are – the angles and the reflections make the curves of the car pop, and it is very sexy. I am so happy we work outside of archviz, as I can work on my skillset – with transportation projects, we use different effects to show the dynamics – e.g., smoke, fog, and water. You can use all that in archviz as well, but only to some extent.

Havana town square

Daria Chertkova

project manager

Whenever I think about my favorite projects, Havana town square is always the first one that comes to mind. I enjoy working on projects that are based in unusual locations. Since most of our clients are European architects and developers, so we don’t get to create visuals for outside of Europe quite often, but each time the opportunity presents itself, I’m very excited about it. It is a challenge and a chance to learn new things. This project brought us to the center of Havana, Cuba, to the historical and iconic Plaza de la Revolución. Here on the massive flat surface of the square, landscape architects had to propose new fresh ideas to bring life to the area as a part of an international competition. I fell in love with the proposal of BOGL at first sight. The idea to turn the large, dry, and empty space into a lush and green oasis was very close to my heart, and since it was a competition project, I was personally invested in our client’s victory.

Favorite projects of mine are usually the ones where the collaboration goes smoothly from both sides. Where we and the client understand each other and work together for the best possible result. It was a swift project, and usually, a short time means a considerable risk. But in this case, efficient communication and trust from the client’s side resulted in stunning results. Just look at the colors and the atmosphere of the images. You can practically feel the shadow’s coolness and sense the vegetation’s aroma. The victory in this competition was well deserved by BOGL, and I can’t wait till this proposal for Plaza de la Revolución comes to life someday. Fingers crossed.

Vídeňská 11 apartment building

Alberto Figueroa

CG artist

Usually, after a few seconds of looking at an archviz image, you will start to notice elements that reveal the touch of 3D software. That is definitely not the case with Vídeňská 11 visuals and CG video. You can see that the high quality of results is not a random coincidence but careful craftsmanship. The amount of detail, the lighting, the materials – it all shows the images have been created with an incredible sense of care. I admire all the hard work behind it; thanks to it, the final product is a beautiful visual experience where my eyes feel grateful and comfortable.
