The joy of growth

When preparing this article, we have tried to count all the projects we have worked on with Kaminsky Architects. We got to the number 40, but we know it is more. However, the first projects with Kaminsky Architects happened even before monolot existed. Our co-founder Jan Lankaš cooperated with Kaminsky’s team on several projects while working as a freelancer before founding our studio.

Since monolot’s establishment, we have observed how great we have grown next to each other. We got from a team of 5 people working in a cramped room to a design studio with 20 teammates. Kaminsky Architects, meantime, grew to have 60 architects in two Swedish cities. This fills us with great joy and humility that we have been entrusted with more than four tens of proposals.

Minimal as we love it

Skyscrapers or sculptural designs are not the focus of Kaminsky Architects’ projects. They offer honest and sustainable Scandinavian architecture for life. We mostly portray proposals for residential buildings, row houses, or educational institutes.

Minimalism with an emphasis on minimal ecological footprint is written in every aspect of their designs and their approach to visualizations. Local and all-natural materials meet with surrounding nature, so you can often find a squirrel or a particular bird somewhere in the image.

The partnership is the best ship

Whenever we receive a new inquiry from Kaminsky Architects, we know what we will do. There is a huge synergy between their architecture and our art direction. Together we have found the right style that works great for both sides. To us, Kaminsky’s architecture feels like a soft blanket and a cup of hot cocoa after having a bad day.

Kaminsky Architects have a clear vision of what they want and the right words to describe it. We receive neat feedback that is clear and to the point.
